Take your script supervising to the next level

What is a Script Supervisor

A script supervisor is a member of a film production team who works with the director and other department heads to ensure that the final project is a seamless viewing experience, an uninterrupted presentation of reality that appears to play out in real time. This art is called Continuity. During the shooting process, scenes are shot out of the order they are ultimately viewed in, and each moment may be shot several times, with slight (or drastic) variations occurring each time. The task of coordinating all the intended and unintended variations so that they can cut together in a seamless edit lies with the script supervisor.

About the creator

Kiran Kaur Saini

Kiran relocated to Los Angeles from New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Arriving with no film production experience, she was trained as a Script Supervisor by the eminent Randi Feldman and built a career from scratch in a tough but exciting and rewarding industry. Kiran has spent the last 15 years working in feature films, television, commercials, industrials, and direct marketing. After teaching in Randi’s school for the last ten years she has now broadened out online. There isn’t a clear path into this industry, and information on the business side of script supervising in particular isn’t always readily available. Professional Script Supervisor aims to fill that gap.
